Eurax/Eurax Itch Relief Cream can be used for children; However, for children under three years of age usage should only be under medical supervision. We advise you to consult your doctor or a local pharmacist who will be able to recommend a product most suitable for your needs. To treat other itching skin conditions besides scabies, massage a thin layer gently into the affected areas until the medication is completely absorbed. Repeat as needed, as directed by your doctor, usually 2 to 3 times a day.

Eurax/Eurax Itch Relief Cream can be used in children. For children under three years of age consult a doctor before use and do not apply more than once a day .

This medication is for use on the skin only. Do not take this medication by mouth. Avoid applying crotamiton on the face, eyes, mouth, vagina, and any skin that is inflamed, raw, or oozing fluid. To treat scabies, take a bath or shower before using this medication. Remove scaly or crusted skin by rubbing gently. Then dry with a towel. Massage a thin layer of the cream or lotion into all skin from the chin down to the toes, including skin folds/creases, between the fingers and toes, and on the soles of the feet. Trim fingernails short and apply the medication under the nails since the mites often live there. You may use a toothbrush to apply the medication under the fingernails. Immediately after use, wrap the toothbrush in paper and throw it away. Do not use the same toothbrush in the mouth because it may lead to poisoning.

Seek advice before using if you are breast feeding, pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or suffer from allergiesShould not be applied in the presence of exudative wounds, acute eczema, broken skin, or very inflamed skin. In the presence of eczematous scabies, eczema should be treated before the scabies. Eurax/ Eurax Itch Relief Cream can be used in children. However, for children under three years of age, usage should only be used under medical supervision and it should not be applied more than once a day. Eurax Cream contraindications are acute exudative dermatoses and hypersensitivity to the active substance (crotamiton) or to any of the excipients (Methyl hydroxybenzoate, Phenylethyl alcohol, Glycerol, Triethanolamine, Sodium lauryl sulphate, Ethylene glycol monostearate, Stearyl alcohol, Strong ammonia solution 25%, Stearic acid, Hard paraffin, White beeswax, Perfume Givaudan No 45, Purified water). Also, Eurax Cream should not be applied in the presence of exudative wounds, acute eczema, broken skin, or very inflamed skin. Apply to the affected area 2-3 times daily. Eurax/ Eurax Itch Relief Cream will provide relief from irritation for 6 to10 hours after each application. There are no special dosage recommendations in the elderly.

This medicine contains fragrance with benzyl alcohol (0.0187%), benzyl benzoate(0.0047%), citral, citronellol, coumarin, d-limonene, eugenol, geraniol and linalool which may cause allergic reactions. Worsening skin irritation (such as itching, redness) may occur. If any of these effects last or get worse, stop using this medication and tell your doctor or pharmacist promptly. Remember that this medication has been prescribed because your doctor has judged that the benefit to you is greater than the risk of side effects. Many people using this medication do not have serious side effects. This medicine contains 0.45% w/w sodium lauryl sulphate in each application. Sodium lauryl sulphate may cause local skin reactions (such as stinging or burning sensation) or increase skin reactions caused by other products when applied on the same area. A very serious allergic reaction to this drug is rare. However, get medical help right away if you notice any symptoms of a serious allergic reaction, including: rash, itching/swelling (especially of the face/ tongue/throat), severe dizziness, trouble breathing.
