Although I like the flavour from this coil if they are going to be unreliable and leaky I have dropped some points for it in the end of the review. Featuring an internal 2000mAh battery, the RPM 5 is capable of lasting the entire day on single charge without the hassle of worrying about external batteries which is what the RPM 5 Pro is powered by. Tried some fixes like making sure not to over fill, setting watts to recommended for the 0.23 coil and closing the air hole when not in use but doesn't make a difference. I probably should be posting this review on the pods and not the Mod itself but unfortunately if there's no other option to use a different pod with the mod or until Smok improve on the Pods the pods and mod are getting tarred with the same brush. Goods supplied by the vendor are supplied with a warranty that guarantees that the goods will be free of defects for 90 days unless otherwise stated.

In the standard kit this has a massive 6.5ml capacity – however in TPD regulated areas this is reduced to 2ml.

The pod can be installed in only 2 ways. If you can’t get the pod to fit just rotate it 90° and it should push into the mod and the magnet will pull it in.

Push in the new coil making sure to align the straight edges on the coil with the straight edges on the pod. This uses the new RPM 3 range of coils – there are 2 resistances – 0.15ohm and 0.23ohm and both are included in the kit. The 0.15ohm coil was a bit more fun if I’m honest,mainly due to its broader wattage range.The sensible end of 40 watts gave a reasonable vape, a bit tame and cooler but the flavour was still decent, pushing it up towards the higher end of 70 watts was more like a proper Smok DL vape, tons of flavour, high vapour production, and warm.I don’t remember the RPM 4 being this good so there’s another improvement, this coil suits those that prefer a more extreme vape and sod the battery life. No claim for missing parcels from consignments shall be accepted if you have signed for the correct number of parcels upon delivery. On the base of the pod are 2 strong magnets which hold it securely in the mod with no wobble at all.

I used a Samsung 25R battery in here which has 2500mAh capacity – so not far off the 2000mAh of the RPM 5. The SMOK RPM 5 has full airflow control, which provides for a bit of airflow resistance if you want it and can also give you a very free and easy direct-to-lung hit. In terms of open airflow, the RPM 5 ranks near the top among pod mods.

At 60W there is a lovely gurgly sound which tells me the coil is heating the e-liquid nicely now. It is definitely warmer and “hissy-er”! The power limits for this coil are specified as 20-45W. I used the same e-liquid as for the other coil. If this is the first fill allow the pod to stand for 10-15 mins to allow the e-liquid to soak into the coil. This is called Priming and is a very important step. If not fully primed you could burn the coil out and your throat lining in the process! It’s very simple to operate as it just levers open, pop your coil in (noting the flats align with the magnets) then close the lever, if the lever doesn’t close, it means you haven’t fitted your coil correctly.Once closed, you physically cannot pull out the coil.Electronic Cigarettes/Kits/Mods once used cannot be returned for hygiene and safety reasons unless defective. If the pod is full make sure to have tons of absorbent thingys around you as liquid comes out of the base and the mouthpiece! Sadly the second coil was the same. I did leave the filled pod with a new coil on some tissue for several days before use to see if it leaked and it slowly emptied itself!The vendor reserves the right to vary the quoted price of the goods either upwards or downwards in line with fluctuations in the market price.
