After Jay made his final wish, the temple was rebuilt and returned to its decrepit state prior to Nadakhan's cleaning. However, as a result of the imperfect time-reversal performed by the Djinn, an anomaly left the temple floating in the skies near Stiix. The temple structure is the centrepiece of the set and has plenty of dollhouse-like play features from behind. There are a total of thirteen numbered bags in this set, plus one containing the larger elements which is not numbered.

Ninjago has become one of the most popular LEGO themes of the past decade, with a range of excellent sets which generally appeal to children and adults alike. The latest and largest of these is 70751 Temple of Airjitzu, a 2028-piece set recreating the Temple on Haunted Hill which appeared in season five of the TV show. Twelve minifigures are included in this set, half of which are either familiar characters in new attire or brand new characters who have not appeared as physical minifigures before. It is worth noting that only Kai, Jay, Cole and Zane appeared at the Temple on Haunted Hill in the TV show, although I’m glad the designers chose to include lots of additional characters so you can create your own scenes. Given what was said in the designer interview, it seems likely that the temple will more closely resemble this set in future episodes. LEGO’s new Modular Natural History Museum (10326) will be available in December instead of January 2024! It is the only base of the ninja to not be destroyed, as well as rebuilt, unlike the Monastery of Spinjitzu or Destiny's Bounty.It is also possible that the temple remained in the sky because Clancee said during the wedding ceremony of Nadakhan and Nya that "this holy temple in which you are married will stand the test of time.". I love the stylised trees which grow on either side of the building. The orange leaves and curved trunks look superb and you can adjust their positioning by altering the direction of the curve. There are a few leaves on the roof of the shop which look rather nice too, simply adding a little bit of additional detail and providing the set with a truly Autumnal atmosphere.

Unusually, the smallest models in the set are kept for the final part of the build. The bridge is elegantly curved using flexible tubing and the addition of four Technic bush elements provides some nice texture to the sides. Putting the bridge in place nicely links the buildings together to complete the set and gives the model greater depth for display. The Dawn of Iron Doom is for kids (or adults!) to build a snake mech with missile shooting eyes, a swishing tail and a spinning time portal. Once built, he stands at over 9” tall! Like most Lego Ninjago sets, this comes with a range of weapons including katanas and swords. It has 6 minifigures to allow kids to recreate scenes from the Masters of Spinjitzu TV show. Very impressive model, and even more so than I expected. Not a fan of NinjaGo, but I'll make an exception for this one. The designers did a great job on this, as is the usual for Exclusive models.

You could remove the Ninjago minifigs and this set would still be able to stand on its own two feet. That, I believe is a hallmark of any great set. When the ninja sought to enter the temple and claim the Scroll of Airjitzu, antics ensued as Yang tormented them. Despite gaining the scroll, the ninja dropped it on their way out, prompting Cole to retrieve it. Incidentally, he failed to escape the temple before sunrise and was transformed into a ghost. Several months later, when Nadakhan was recreating his home realm, he lifted Yang's temple into the sky. Yang confronted Nadakhan, who had the temple cleansed with water—forcing Yang and his students to leave. The temple was destroyed when Misfortune's Keep crashed into it, but after Jay made his final wish, recent events were undone and the temple was left unscathed. However, as a result of an anomaly in Nadakhan's time reversal, it was left floating in the sky.

The Completed Model

Sail into battle avoiding the jaw of the Ghost Dragon. This also comes with triple-stud-shooting cannons to fend off enemies, and 9 minifigures complete with assorted weapons. Making amends with Yang, Cole attempted to escape with him in tow, but with the curse of the temple still intact, Yang chose to stay behind as the Master of House, sacrificing his own freedom for Cole's freedom as a human. With Yang having made amends with his past, the Temple of Airjitzu was thus restored to its previous state, prior to the curse. Recognizing it as a potential base, Cole convinced the rest of the ninja to settle in the Temple of Airjitzu, remarking afterward at a campfire at how well it functioned as a new home.

Trapped within the temple, which was now connected to the Ethereal Divide every night as a result of the Yin Blade's reality-splicing abilities, Yang and his fellow students were unable to leave, only appearing at night. As a result of the students never being seen again following their arrival at the temple, rumors circulated concerning their fates. Due to its dark history, the Temple of Airjitzu eventually became a tourist attraction. In the temple, the ninja try to find out who the Vermillion Samurai was by examining the helmet it left behind. They went to see Wu ask for answers, but he was too tired to answer.shaase: There are stone dragons on the bridge, although they're a little bit inaccurate in that they're facing towards the bridge rather than away from it. Unless you were talking about real dragons, but there are plenty of those in other Ninjago sets! Lloyd and Cole airjitzu their way to safety. Briefly, Nya uses Airjitzu to escape the worm creatures. This is the first time she ever uses airjitzu. The final minifigure is the Postman. He is constantly caught up in the ninjas’ shenanigans so his inclusion here is a perfect opportunity to create some more perilous situations for him to fall into! His head and torso feature new designs so it’s a shame that he has no alternate expression to convey terror, which would have suited the character perfectly. Otherwise this is an excellent representation of the Postman and an appealing minifigure with his impressive purple uniform. The Completed Model
